Ο Ahmed Shehzad χτύπησε το Πακιστάν για την απόφασή τους χωρίς εγκεφάλου πριν από το Trophy ISS Champions
Former Pakistan cricketer Ahmed Shehzad slammed Mohammad Rizwan and co. following their loss to New Zealand in the Tri-Nation series final. The hosts were handed a 5-wicket thrashing in Karachi in what is a setback for the team before ICC Champions Trophy. The ex-batter tore into the team management and selectors, dubbing them as “brainless” and accusing them of making childish decisions.

“Pakistan’s bubble has burst before Champions Trophy”
In a video on his YouTube channel, Shehzad claimed that Pakistan’s bubble had burst before Champions Trophy. He called Rizwan brainless for opting to bat first in the contest, adding that it was a mind-boggling decision. Further, he accused the Pakistan captain of always saving the batting.
“It was a mind-boggling decision (to bat first) because we had seen in the previous match that the pitch becomes better to bat on in the night, the ball doesn’t grip on the surface for the spinners. Still, the Pakistan team decided to bat first. Brainless decision, they had no clue,” said Shehzad.

He further claimed that Pakistan only stood a chance to win matches if the opposition was sub-par or did not have their main players. He pointed out that the team should plan around their strenghts while noting that the team should have taken up a run-chase if they believed they had a strong batting unit.
“In a final, you are making childish decisions…you are making so many mistakes in matches. You get a chance to win only when the opposition performs below par or don’t have their main players playing,” he said.
Pakistan’s batting order flopped, with Babar Azam witnessing yet another failure. They were bowled out for 242 runs. In response, New Zealand chased down the target with 4.4 overs to spare. Tom Latham and Daryll Mitchell smashed half-centuries each to help the Kiwis win the match and clinch the title.
