As a result, the Rajasthan Royals management decided to utilize him as an impact player for the first three matches of the season. In his absence, Riyan Parag has been entrusted with the captaincy, making him the youngest captain in the history of the Rajasthan Royals at just 23 years old.
The decision to appoint Parag as the stand-in captain reflects the franchise’s commitment to grooming future leaders. Parag, who had an impressive season last year with 573 runs, has shown promise and leadership potential. The team management believes he is capable of stepping into the role temporarily while Samson recovers fully.
