India’s current head coach Gautam Gambhir is under fire after a disastrous tour to Australia. He has been accused of making certain players scapegoat for dressing room leaks. There is already a rumour of rift in the dressing room. However, India fast bowler Umesh Yadav who played under his captaincy at Kolkata Knight Riders has nothing but praise for him.
In an exclusive chat with InsideSport, Umesh said he would always speak highly of Gambhir since he made his KKR debut under his captaincy.
“I will always speak good of Gautam Gambhir. I made KKR debut under his captaincy. I never felt he put me under pressure. When I made my debut, he gave me the ball and told me to not to listen to anyone and just focus on my bowling. He gave me that freedom and I flourished,” Umesh Yadav said.
