That meant MS Dhoni had a lot to do when he arrived on the park; needed 69 from 25. Despite trying hard, even Thala could not keep up pace and fell to Yash Thakur in the last over. That meant, CSK went on to the 9th spot in the IPL 2025 points table, with just two points against their name in five matches, accounting for four losses.
After the PBKS vs CSK match, Dhoni’s record in IPL 2025 improved considerably. Despite the criticism, in 5 matches, he has scored 103 runs at an average of 51, and at a strike-rate of 153. CSK now play their next match against KKR on April 11.
