Οι Πονάπα και Κάστρο υπερασπίστηκαν τον τίτλο τους και κέρδισαν το διπλό γυναικών στο Guwahati Masters.
No matter India try to do they will always be behind China. And this is one of the main reasons why India would fail to be a superpower in badminton. World Number 99, India’s Anmol Kharb has gone on to lose the finals against China’s Cai Yan Yan who is ranked 342. On the other hand, Ashwini Ponnappa and Tanisha Crasto defended their title while Sathish Kumar won the Men’s finals.
Anmol Kharb fails in the Finals
Anmol Kharab had a golden opportunity to win the finals but she eventually fell down to Cai Yan Ya. Despite doing up in the first game, she went down to the World Number 342 14-21, 21-13, 21-19. Now, this is disappointing for the Indian shuttler who had a golden opportunity in making it to the top.
Ponappa & Castro defend their title
Ashwini Ponnappa and Tanisha Crasto were the top seeded players in the Women’s doubles category and they didn’t disappoint. In fact the duo defended their title against China’s Li Hua Zhou & Wang Zi Meng. The Indian pair won convincingly to secure wonderful win, 21-18, 21-12.
In the last game of the day, Satish Kumar too won his second 100 title as he came from behind to win a stunning 21-17, 21-14 victory over Zhu Xuan Chen of China.
